Welcome Little One is a 4-part parenting class focused on first-time caregivers, whether through birth, adoption, foster, kinship, or surrogacy, teaching them the fundamentals of caring for a newborn.
Topics covered in Welcome Little One include: feeding (breast and bottle), feeding cues, burping baby, diaper changing, what to bring to the hospital, bathing baby, using carriers, baby essentials, car seat safety and installation, what to expect in the first few days and weeks home with baby, crying, soothing a baby, swaddling, skin to skin benefits, sleep-how often babies sleep, safe sleep practices, postpartum mood and anxiety issues, belly button cord care, developmental milestones birth- 3 months, tummy time, language development, non-birthing parent supporting birthing parent, parenting, and child development resources.
