All families are vulnerable to the stresses of parenthood, some more than others. Family Support Services is designed to help parents of young children by providing them with support and guidance before problems mount and become unmanageable.

Working With Infants and Toddlers

Match the home and child care environment to meet developmental needs

Parenting Strategies

Help parents to recognize their strengths and respect their role as a child's first teacher

Visit families in their homes to answer questions about infant care

Provide child development information and appropriate expectations

Listen to parents' concerns and guide families in developing their parenting skills

Community Services Coordination

Provide information about community services to families

Provide transportation to medical and social service appointments
