The Child Development Council sponsors the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) for home child care programs in Tompkins County. Family and group family day care providers, as well as legally exempt providers, are eligible to receive reimbursements for serving nutritious meals and snacks to the children in their care. Training and other resources are provided free of cost. The program is voluntary; providers may call the Food Program at 273-0259 for more information on program guidelines and how to enroll.
